 Super Speciality Hospitals |

Considering the need of modern hospitals where advanced surgery, investigations and specialised treatment can be provided, CIDCO has planned 5 Super Specialty Hospitals in Navi Mumbai out of which one at Vashi and one at Kharghar are in planning phase. Once these Super Speciality Hospitals are developed within next 5 years, it will cater to the needs of residents to have facility of advanced medical technology in Navi Mumbai and will also be useful to people from interior of Konkan Region i.e. from Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts.
A super speciality hospital is being developed by TATA Memorial Centre at Kharghar where advanced treatment and research in Cancer will be available. Another specialised Burns Hospitals is being developed by Indian Burns Research Society at Airoli.
Salient features of health care facilities are:

Emergency trauma management system in case of road/industrial accident.

Planned to be located by the side of the major National Highways passing through Navi Mumbai.

At a distance of every 3-5 km. emergency medical care service will be available.

The Trusts are bound to provide 15% beds on 'no loss no profit' basis and as per the rate approved by CIDCO management.

|
Facilities at concessional rates are available for poor at Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation hospitals/health centres.

There is one government hospital besides one Primary Health Centre at Belapur village and 2 at New Panvel node (One at Gavhan village and other at Nere village).

|
ESIS hospital at Vashi is meant only for TB and chest diseases and the facilities are available only to the insured workers.
