Procedure for Registration of Product

 The process for the Registration of the product is as per the following steps :

1. Request letter form vendor for registration of product is taken after the preliminary scrutiny of the vendors details based on its use.

2. Issue of the application form-cum-informative booklet is issued to the vendors free of charge.

3. Vendor submits the application form with documents as mentioned in the booklet with the initial scrutiny fee as applicable.

4. The proposal if scrutinized in the office of EE(NM) in all ways i.e. Financial capabilities, technical capabilities and performance of the vendors. The marks are allotted to the product based on the documents submitted. The proposal is further submitted to SE (HQ) for his remarks and further to respective sections for the comments if any i.e. electrical item proposals to SE(Elect) and water supply, sewerage proposal to SE(Env).

5. If the vendor has submitted inadequate documents, then same has to be informed to the vendor in written, to submit the same within 30 days. If the vendor is unable to submit the documents within prescribed time limit again a final reminder is sent to him. After receiving the documents the proposal is scrutinized as above at Sr.No.4. For the unsuccessful vendors they have been informed suitably.

6. After the receiving the comments, the proposal is put to committee with committee note as per the format. The proposal is discussed in the committee consists of SE(HQ), EE(QC), SE(ELECT), SE(ENV) and external consultant. After the recommendation of the committee, the proposal is submitted to CE&GM (T) for approval. If any query has been raised by the committee regarding any details, factory visit and performance, the same has been noted and informed to the vendors.

7. Proposal is again scrutinized in the office of CE & GM (T) and approval is accorded suitably. For any query the same is informed to the vendor for fulfillment.

8. For the approved proposals, the approval letter of Registration to be issued to the vendors after final payment of registration.

9. A list of approved vendors with the validity of registration has been informed to the circle offices periodically after updating the same.

10. A presentation of special items is required to given by the vendors to the CIDCO staff. The factory to be visited suitably as when necessary.

11. Generally the period of 60 days to 75 days are required for approval/rejection of the proposals based on the documentation submitted by the vendors.

12. The process of registration is a continual improvement and accepted suitably.

13. A special committee has been formulated for specialized items of roads, construction chemicals etc. The committee comprises of Shri.D.K.Kanhere, CE(PWD), N.H.Region, ACTE, ACE(I), SE(D) as members under Chairmanship of CE & GM (Tech).
